MASCOT® WORKWEAR is proud to announce the launch of the New MASCOT® Frontera Pilot Jacket – an addition to the MASCOT® HARDWEAR range. Certified to EN 343 — cl. 3/1 and EN 342 — class 3/2 (2.0 clo) this jacket is not only breathable but is also wind and waterproof. The MASCOT® Frontera has a huge number of features and benefits that are truly out of this world.
Optimal thermal comfort
The lining of the MASCOT® Frontera jacket is made from Outlast® material, which gives the jacket the ability to continually regulate skin’s microclimate. As your skin gets hot, the heat is absorbed, and as it cools, that heat is released. Not too hot, not too cold, but «just right» – Outlast® material offers greater wearer comfort through proactive heat management.
Outlast® technology is not wicking technology, which manages moisture by reacting to your perspiration and pulling it away from the skin. Outlast® technology will proactively manage the heat while controlling the production of moisture before it begins. Outlast® technology was originally developed for NASA and carries the Certified Space Technology™ seal of approval.
Features & functions
In addition to wearer comfort, the MASCOT® Frontera is functional and suited to your profession. All seams are taped, there is a detachable lined hood (with drawstring), storm flap, numerous pockets including a smart phone pocket under the storm flap that can be accessed without having to open the jacket, and reflectors for added safety. The chest pockets have magnetic closures ensuring they can be easily opened with one hand and always close themselves so nothing falls out.
Certified Space Technology
In 2003, Outlast® technology was designated a Certified Space Technology™ by the Space Foundation, a national non-profit dedicated to promoting space endeavors. As the developer of Outlast® technology, Outlast received this prestigious seal of approval for the way in which its space technology enhances the lives of consumers.
Outlast® technology was originally developed for use in space gloves to protect against extreme temperature fluctuations. Outlast has continued to develop and test phase change materials and applications to make this Certified Space Technology™ available to more consumers around the world. Currently Outlast holds more than 96 patents with 59 pending. Over 300 brands in different countries use Outlast® phase change materials in their products.
«The broad range of use of Outlast® materials in consumer goods, from apparel to bedding, demonstrates an exceptional example of how mankind currently benefits from today’s space technologies and how our future generations can leverage these successful endeavors, as well.» — Steve Eisenhart, vice president of policy and public affairs for the Space Foundation.
